iOS 18 will give users more control over 'Address Book' access: Here's how

Apple recently held its World Wide Developer Conference 2024. The iPhone OS is getting a new feature that will enable iPhone users to choose which contact they want to share with their social media apps. Social media apps often ask users’ permission to access their contacts to help them connect with their friends or make suggestions for who to follow. However, in iOS 18, users who choose to share their address book will now have the option to decide whether they want to share all their contacts with an app. They can either select "Allow Full Access" or choose the new option "Select Contacts" if they prefer to limit access.
