New Year to Herald Work on Capital Amaravati
Deccan ChronicleVijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will start his Amaravati 2.0 capital at the beginning of New Year 2025, aiming to complete the world-class capital in three years. A recent cabinet meeting headed by him granted permission to the CRDA to undertake 45 engineering works worth Rs 33,137.98 crore for construction of quarters for IAS officers, gazetted officers and class IV employees, apart from flood mitigation works, roads and other infrastructure. Chandrababu Naidu also got approval for $800 million loan from World Bank to transform Amaravati into a model capital in the world. Municipal administration and urban development minister P. Narayana said a total of 16 roads from the east to the west and another 18 roads from the north to the south will be developed in the Amaravati core capital area, running into 217 sq.
