Police’s ‘Scan QR’ initiative turns a big hit
Deccan ChronicleHyderabad:When you face any difficulties at the police station while lodging a complaint, you can now scan the QR code installed at the police station to provide feedback to senior police officials. Days after Director General of Police Jitender launched the Citizen Feedback system by installing QR codes in all police stations across Telangana to collect citizen feedback, a massive response was recorded. If a citizen is unable to scan the QR code installed at the police station, they can also call the police officials and report their feedback about police services in Telangana. Superintendent of Police Maddipati Srinivas from CID, who is handling the citizen feedback system, reported that 70 per cent of the responses from citizens were positive regarding policing and services offered at police stations. The police officials launched the feedback system to allow citizens to share their opinions on five key areas: lodging complaints, FIR registration, traffic e-Challans, passport verifications, and other services.
