BJP's action plan for Delhi: Cleaning of drains, Central schemes implementation

Just days after securing a thumping victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, the BJP is preparing a 100-day action plan for the national capital, with a focus on implementing schemes of the Central government, including the flagship Ayushman Bharat, and the cleaning of drains to better waterlogging issues during the monsoon season. Following a meeting on Wednesday, Delhi Chief Secretary Dharmendra directed all relevant departments to prepare the action plan in line with the new BJP government's Vikshit Delhi Sankalp Patra 2025. The Chief Secretary has also ordered officials to prepare another note for desilting and cleaning of drains, including necessary steps to prevent waterlogging during the monsoon season. All heavyweights of the party, including AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, leaders Awadh Ojha and Somnath Bharti, among others, were defeated, except Atishi, who retained her seat.
