"Air conditioning used to be the old noisy window rattler that would use a lot of electricity," he said. Forget about instant cold Mr Sharp said one of the most common mistakes involved people treating their home like their car, where they want instant cold air blowing on them. If you do not have air conditioning — or only have it in living areas — Mr Sharp said ceiling fans could still be an effective option.
