Kashmiri Pandits hold protest in Delhi against killing of Rahul Bhat
India TodayMembers of the Kashmiri Pandit community staged protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Sunday against the recent killing of Rahul Bhat by terrorists. The community members gathered at Jantar Mantar as they demanded the government to “stop using Kashmiri Pandits as sacrificial lamb” and urged passage of a genocide bill immediately. Speaking to the reporters, Sumeer Chrungoo, president of Kashmir Samiti Delhi, said, “If the government is really serious about the return of Kashmiri Pandits, then first and foremost thing it has to do is to recognise that Kashmiri Pandits are the victims of genocide.” Vithal Chowdhary, a senior leader of Panun Kashmir, demanded that strict action should be taken against the Badgam Deputy Commissioner for not acting on the security threat to Rahul and delaying his transfer. Vithal Chowdhary also demanded action against SP, Badgam for using force against Kashmiri Pandit employees during a protest against the killing of Rahul Bhat.
