Meena Kumari biopic: Kamal Amrohi's son and director Shashilal Nair spar over film rights

Kamal Amrohi’s son Tajdar Amrohi and Shashilal Nair were teaming up for Meena Kumari’s biopic but have now terminated their partnership due to differences. Tajdar Amrohi, the son of Kamal Amrohi and Mehmoodie, and director Shashilal Nair were supposed to make the biopic together. Tajdar claims that it is his parents’ biopic and his permission needs to be sought to make a film based on his parents. Nair, who has made films like One 2 Ka 4 and Ek Chhotisi Love Story before disappearing from the film scene, has said that he was expecting Tajdar to resort to these tactics in attempt to keep him from making the film.
