It prompted a barbed response yesterday from a clearly rattled Mrs. Vardy who took to Instagram to describe her as ‘boring’ and ‘publicity-seeking.’ Mrs. Rooney, talking about her husband, the former Manchester United and England footballer who is now head coach of the US soccer team DC United in Washington, said: ‘He was supportive, you know, but it took its toll. Asked by Vogue if she could forgive her fellow WAG, she said: ‘I’m a forgive and forget person… But this is obviously totally different.’ Forgiveness didn’t appear on Mrs. Vardy’s mind yesterday during her family holiday in Portugal as she responded to fan’s comment about Mrs. Rooney’s interview by saying: ‘Boring now isn’t it,’ with the fan then adding ‘Desperate’.
