Cyber Laws & Women: HNLU And NCW Host Consultation On Digital Safety For Women
Live LawHidayatullah National Law University, Raipur, in partnership with the National Commission for Women, New Delhi, a statutory body of the Government of India, championing the protection and promotion of women's rights across the country, organized a significant conference titled "Cyber Laws & Women" at its campus in Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar. The conference aimed to shed light on the pressing issue of women's safety in the digital domain and promote awareness of the legal frameworks designed to protect them. The event encompassed four plenary sessions that delved into critical aspects of women's digital safety, including Financial frauds targeting women; Laws against non-consensual sharing of intimate images; Safeguarding women in the digital age and combating AI-driven cybercrimes and Victimization of women in cyberspace and the governing laws. The conference's primary objective was to increase awareness about legal protections against cybercrime targeting women and to discuss innovative legal reforms to address emerging digital-age challenges.
