NSW Liberal Party's extension request denied after council election nominations blunder

ABC

A request from the NSW Liberal Party for more time to lodge council election nominations has been declined, after the party missed a crucial deadline to file paperwork for about 140 candidates. "What occurred this week was simply not good enough," the NSW Liberal Party said on Friday. The NSW Liberal Party endorsed Monica Tudehope, Mr Perrottet's former deputy chief of staff and daughter to shadow treasurer Damien Tudehope, to run for the seat in Sydney's north-west. "Now those individuals are really suffering as a result of what's happened that Liberal Party head office," he said.
