Andhra Pradesh Government announces reforms to give a boost to real estate sector
The HinduIn a move aimed at revitalising the real estate sector in Andhra Pradesh, the State government has issued orders simplifying the building and layout approval regulations. “The real estate sector had collapsed due to the previous YSRCP government’s mismanagement. However, under the the NDA dispensation, we are focusing on fostering growth and removing obstacles to ensure the State’s overall development.” Key initiatives Referring to the key reforms brought in, Mr. Narayana said the minimum road width requirement in layouts had been reduced from 12 metres to 9 metres. “For the first time in the country, Andhra Pradesh is implementing an integrated single-window clearance system for building and layout approvals to save time of the builders,” Mr. Narayana said.
