Solatium given to families of two children in Sivaganga

Tamil Nadu Minister K.R. Periakaruppan on Thursday presented ₹3 lakh each to the families of two girls in Sivaganga district. After post-mortem, the mortal remains of the girls were handed over to the families, who demanded a government job for at least one member from each of the two families. Senior BJP leader H. Raja, AIADMK MLA Senthilnathan, former DMK MLA Mathiarasan and others paid their respects to the bereaved families and consoled them. The DMK functionaries said that apart from the solatium, Mr. Periakaruppan handed over ₹2 lakh each to the two families as his personal contribution.
