Drunk mechanic crashes state bus into Chennai police station's wall

A mechanic, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, crashed a government bus into the Adyar Police Station’s compound wall in Chennai during the early hours of Thursday. The incident occurred around 2.50 am when Gunasekaran, a mechanic employed at the Adyar government bus depot, was working on Bus No. After starting the bus, Gunasekaran reportedly lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the police station wall at high speed. In a separate road accident, a video journalist and part-time Rapido driver, Pradeep Kumar, was killed on Tuesday night when his motorcycle was hit by a speeding BMW on the Maduravoyal-Tambaram elevated bypass.
