Arthur Okonkwo interview: Wrexham owner support, Arsenal exit and his future
Arthur Okonkwo, Wrexham’s on-loan goalkeeper, is the first to admit this season hasn’t all been plain sailing. Okonkwo, who recently said his goodbyes at Arsenal ahead of his contract expiring this summer, also boasted the fourth tier’s highest save percentage from on-target shots faced at 79.1 per cent, according to FBref. “You’d be surprised!” he laughs asked whether Arteta struggles to match the Wrexham manager’s use of dressing room expletives. Okonkwo will leave Arsenal this summer Asked about the future, he replies: “I haven’t looked too much into things at the moment. “It’s more of a waiting game now and seeing what is the right move for myself.” His desire to take things one step at a time is understandable.
