After Sriya Lenka, 20-year-old Aria from Kerala becomes second K-pop idol from India

India Today

K-pop has become a rage in India all thanks to the TV series, bands and, of course, BTS. Last year, an 18-year-old girl from Odisha named Sriya Lenka became the first Indian to be a K-pop idol. Now, keeping up with the legacy, 20-year-old Aria has become the second Indian to make a mark in the K-pop industry. Born as Gauthami in Kerala, India, she joined GBK Entertainment and became a trainee on their online training platform Universe with the name Ami. Around November 2022, she took up the name Aria and was supposed to make her debut with GBK's upcoming girl group MEP-C.
