US and Canadian missionaries kidnapped in Haiti released

A group of Canadian and US missionaries kidnapped in October by a gang in Haiti has been released, local police said on Thursday, after weeks of negotiations. The missionaries were abducted by a powerful criminal gang known as 400 Mawozo, Haitian authorities said, and five of the hostages have been released in recent weeks. “We glorify God for answered prayer – the remaining twelve hostages are free!” Christian Aid Ministries said in a statement on its website on Thursday.
