Maharashtra to implement CBSE-based curriculum under NEP 2020 in state schools
Maharashtra's Steering Committee has approved the adoption of the Central Board of Secondary Education curriculum framework for schools in the state from class three to twelve, from the academic year 2025-26. The decision, made by School Education Minister Dada Bhuse in a written response to the Legislative Council, is to standardise education in the state and bring it in line with national standards under the National Education Policy 2020. CBSE CURRICULUM UNDER NEP CBSE curriculum is guided by NEP 2020 guidelines, which aims to revamp the education system through the 5+3+3+4 structure. Maharashtra's move is part of a larger initiative to modernize education and equip students with a competitive advantage in an increasingly changing world.
