Police arrest honour killing accused

Hyderabad:In the honour killing case, police identified the accused based on his car’s registration number and arrested him and his associate for murdering woman constable Kongara Nagamani. During interrogation, the accused Kongara Paramesh, 25, who is the younger brother of the victim, confessed that he was angered by his elder sister Nagamani’s marriage against his will and was waiting for a right opportunity. To put his plans into action, he sought his friend Achana Shiva’s help to monitor the victim’s movements, said D Sunitha Reddy, DCP Maheshwaram. When the accused came to know about his sister’s love affair withSrikanth, he admonished her and forced her to get married within their community.
