Capable to protect state’s border, says CM Bommai on boundary row with Maharashtra
Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Monday said that a panel of advocates has been formed to resolve the state borders issues with Maharashtra. Exuding confidence over the State government’s preparedness to handle the border row, especially the Belagavi case, with Maharashtra, the Chief Minister said that the panel of senior advocates includes Mukul Rohtagi, Shyam Diwan, Uday Holla, Maruti Jirle and Raghupathy. The Chief Minister said the application filed by the Maharashtra government has not been considered and so far it has not got its maintainability and it may not get also. The Chief Minister said the border row has become a political tool in Maharashtra and any party which is in power will rake-up the issue for political gains.
