The two boys, aged 16 and 14, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were charged with possession of a corrosive substance in a public place. Police officers spotted two people acting suspiciously at Surbiton train station at around 4:20pm on Friday. In a statement issued on Sunday, the British Transport Police said: “Two boys, aged 16 and 14, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have been charged with possession of a corrosive substance in a public place.” They continued: “Police were at Surbiton railway station at around 4.20pm when they spotted two people acting suspiciously.
