Samsung unveils new mid-range phone
China DailySouth Korean technology giant Samsung Electronics Co Ltd has unveiled its mid-range Galaxy A8s to lure more young consumers in China as part of its effort to expand market share in the world's largest smartphone market. Kwon Gye-hyun, president of Samsung's China operations, said the company will make strategic adjustments in the Chinese market, which means the smartphone models that have had success in China will be pushed to the global market, and innovative and cutting-edge technologies will be applied to mid-range smartphones. Kwon said the company is fully prepared to fearlessly face any challenges in the world's most competitive market, emphasizing "they have come back to the battlefield." The Galaxy A8s is the first phone made with Samsung's Infinity-O display, which sports a true bezel-less display screen, with a small hole in the display to house the selfie camera.
