
Deputy CM distributes awards to winners of Kalai Thiruvizha 2024-25
The HinduThe award ceremony for the State-level Kalai Thiruvizha 2024-25 was held at the Anna Centenary Library on Friday. Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin presented the awards to the winning students. The Deputy Chief Minister added that around 46 lakh students from schools across the State participated in the arts and cultural festival this year, with 13,000 took part in the State-level competitions. Furthermore, as the Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development, he had requested schools to only use PT periods for physical education, adding that only when students play well will they also study well. Minister for School Education Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi praised the students for their successful performances and congratulated all the students who participated.
