Benedict Wong, the British actor, will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Benedict Wong, who is presently the MCU’s Sorcerer Supreme, suggested to Comic Book during the red carpet premiere of his new Netflix series, 3 Body Problem, that there’s something big happening with his character Wong. Something’s looming.” The news outlet also reports that Marvel is reportedly working on a live-action rendition of their popular comic book series Strange Academy. Wong previously explained the development of his character to Variety, saying, “When I first embarked on the role, we looked at the old source material and it needed an update.” He also mentioned that he recalls his initial approach while in the trailer, waiting to meet with Kevin and producer Stephen Broussard. Raimi referred to Wong as a legend and said, “Of course, you’re going to be the Sorcerer Supreme.” Wong added he felt thrilled about the character’s growth and how he now stands on equal footing with Doctor Strange.
