Hindustan TimesLUCKNOW Uttar Pradesh is a leading state in terms of 108 ambulance response time for many years, with a current response time of 7 minutes and 30 seconds compared to 16 minutes and 52 seconds in 2016-17, the state government was quoted in a release on Friday. Timely emergency access to healthcare facilities can save lives and keeping this in view, the state significantly improved response time of its 108 ambulance services, stated the UP government. In 2017-18, the response time for the 108 ambulance service was 13 minutes and 23 seconds, which slightly increased to 14 minutes and 46 seconds in 2018-19. {{^userSubscribed}} {{/userSubscribed}} {{^userSubscribed}} {{/userSubscribed}} However, significant improvements were made in the following years, reducing the response time to 8 minutes and 46 seconds in 2022-23 and 7 minutes and 24 seconds in 2023-24.
