Child received life-saving treatment in US before boarding doomed 'Angel flight': report
Raw StoryA child patient was one of six people aboard the Learjet 55 on a return flight to Mexico before it crashed in Philadelphia Friday night, according to local media reports. Shai Gold, a spokesperson for Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, told a Philadelphia NBC outlet that a girl was returning home to Tijuana, Mexico, after receiving care in the United States for a life-threatening illness. The girl’s mother, along with a pilot, copilot, doctor and a paramedic were all said to be on board the doomed flight, Gold told the TV station. The incident in Philadelphia comes as the nation is still reeling from Wednesday night’s midair collision over Washington D.C. involving a Blackhawk helicopter colliding midair with an American Airlines regional jet, claiming all 67 lives on board.
