LPG cylinder explosion in Kothrud during illegal refilling, two booked
Hindustan TimesOne person was injured due to an explosion while illegally filling Liquid Petroleum Gas in Kothrud on Tuesday. The accused have been identified as Vishnukant Dhanaji Chandeshwar, 45, a resident of Kothrud and Ashish Ramesh Yadav, 19, a resident of Jai Bhavaninagar, Kothrud. Two accused were involved in an allegedly illegal refilling of LPG gas from big cylinders into small cylinders to get monetary benefits, said officials. Rajkumar Adagale, assistant police inspector, Kothrud police station, said, “Even after knowing their actions may endanger human lives, they were involved in the illegal activity.” A case has been registered at Kothrud police station under sections 436, 338,285,34 of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of the Essential Commodity Act.
