Meghan Markle Worried Her Children Might 'Blame Her' For Growing Up Away from Royal Family
News 18Meghan Markle is reportedly concerned that her children — Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2 — could hold her responsible for “depriving them” of the opportunity for a life as working royals in the UK. Meghan and Prince Harry’s relationship with the royal family has been strained since they stepped down as working members in 2020 and relocated to California, US, with their two children. “A friend of the couple – one of Meghan’s few aristocratic friends from her time in the UK – told me Meghan does miss some aspects of life in the UK and worries that her children will blame her if they never get to see their cousins and feel as adults that they have been deprived of what might have been a fun and meaningful existence in the UK as working royals,” Quinn told the publication. Quinn added that Meghan’s aristocrat friends in the UK disclosed that the Duchess “misses some aspects” of life in the UK, but remains “furious at the way she was treated” during her time in the Royal Family. Meghan hasn’t returned to the UK since Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in 2022, whereas her husband, Prince Harry, has made several trips home, including attending King Charles’s Coronation on May 6 this year.
