GRAHAM GRANT: Limo row proves SNP have been too long in power. They want to do what they like but attack rivals for doing the same

Daily Mail

It’s a stressful job being an SNP minister – trying to juggle the relentless demands of your portfolio with free hospitality. Transport was once the responsibility of Mr Gray’s immediate predecessor in the health role, Michael Matheson – who tried to take the taxpayer for a ride over his £11,000 iPad bill. It’s no surprise that the Tories are demanding a Holyrood statement from Mr Gray, with deputy leader Rachael Hamilton pointing out that it looks like ‘another Michael Matheson affair’. But it seems some in the SNP don’t always practise what they preach – and Mr Flynn appears to share Mr Gray’s tin ear for what the public might make of his behaviour. After a period of monastic silence, Mr Flynn insisted there was nothing to see here – while Mr Swinney said even asking about the row was ‘grubbing at the bottom of a barrel’.
