Mixed reaction to State budget

The State Budget for 2025-26 has evoked mixed reactions from stakeholders and while chamber of commerce and industries association has welcomed it, farmers have expressed their dismay. The Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed most parts of the State Budget and said that it augured well for comprehensive growth and development. The MCCI said the establishment of Regional Endocrinology Centres at Mysuru and Kalaburagi Medical Colleges at a cost of ₹100 crore, was a welcome initiative apart from setting up institutes modelled on NIMHANS. The Mysore Hotel Owners Association welcomed the emphasis on tourism in the Budget and allocation for the city airport expansion, film city, health facilities, etc, and said that it would augur well for the city and the region.
