
Pakistan expresses concern over U.S. transferring military technology to India
The HinduMinistry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan in a press briefing on Friday expressed concern at the proposed transfer of U.S. military technology to India. This comment comes following the release of the “India-U.S. joint statement’’ after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s U.S. visit and meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump. Pakistan’s Foreign Affairs Ministry has stated that the increase military capacity may cause imbalance in the region In the joint statement, India and the U.S. called on Pakistan to expeditiously bring to justice the perpetrators of the 26/11 Mumbai, and Pathankot attacks, and ensure that its territory is not used to carry out cross-border terrorist attacks. U.S. President Donald Trump announced that his administration has approved the extradition of Tahawwur Rana, a Canadian national of Pakistani origin, wanted by Indian probe agencies for his role in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, “to face justice in India”.
