An app for public toilets unveiled

A group of NGOs with support from the Greater Chennai Corporation and volunteers on Sunday launched an app for locating and rating public toilets in the city. Residents will be able to locate the nearest public toilets using the Kakkoos App, which was launched by Chepauk- Thiruvallikeni MLA Udhayanidhi Stalin. Over 150 volunteers from various colleges have mapped 1,497 public toilets, including public toilets at 806 locations and toilets in malls, fuel outlets and commercial buildings. Chennai public toilets should become the cleanest in the country,” he said The best toilets will have the certificate for one year and another round of mapping will be held after one year.
