Work on Kothagudem Airport in 6 Months: Pongulleti
Deccan ChronicleBhadradri-Kothagudem: Revenue Minister Pongulleti Srinivas Reddy announced on Friday that the process to set up an airport in Kothagudem will start in six months. During the inauguration of the 3 km long central lighting system from Vepalagadda to Bhrundavam in Sujathanagar mandal, being developed at a cost of Rs 2 crore, the minister said that the airport will be established at Rudhrampur near Kothagudem and Singareni. Highlighting the state government's commitment to developing agency areas in Bhadradri-Kothagudem district, the minister said that district authorities have been directed to explore the tourism potential in the area to create employment for locals. Khammam MP Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy, Kothagudem MLA Kunamneni Samba Shiva Rao, and district collector Jithesh V. Patil attended the programme.
