A repeat of previous budget for Hyderabad, with a few exceptions

The Telangana State government’s allocations towards Hyderabad for the financial year 2025-26 have been largely a repeat of the budget for the current financial year, with a few minor exceptions. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has got a repeat allocation of ₹2,654 crore this year too, towards the Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure project, apart from ₹10 crore compensation from the Professional Tax revenue, and ₹10 lakh from Motor Vehicle Tax. The remaining allocation of ₹3,085 crore to water board was by way of loans, towards development works, and the Sunkishala intake well project as part of the Krishna Drinking Water Supply project among others. Loan component also includes ₹700 crore to the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority, which too is a repeat allocation. Musi River Front Development has got a separate allocation of ₹1,500 crore, which is a repeat from the previous budget revised subsequently to ₹1,253 crore.
