[Siddha Medicine 'Kabasurakudineer'] It Is The Duty Of Ministry Of AYUSH To Popularize Every Indian System Of Medicine Across India: Madras HC [Read Order]

The Madras High Court on Thursday observed that it is the duty of the Central Ministry of AYUSH to popularise every Indian system of medicine including Siddha in all the States. Background The High Court by order dated 10.09.2020 had raised certain queries to be answered by the Department of AYUSH regarding the number of posts available in each Indian system of medicine and number of posts vacant and the time required to fill up the said posts. And directed it to file an affidavit as to when the examination will be conducted and the recruitment process will be over for appointment of posts viz., Advisor, Joint Advisor, Deputy Advisor, Assistant Advisor, Medical Officer, not only in the Department of Siddha, but also in other Departments of AYUSH. Further, the Court directed the Assistant Solicitor General to give the total number of posts available under each category in each Indian system and the number of vacant posts to be filled up, by way of an affidavit.
