Glenda McCulloch works on a covered concrete slab behind her house in Mount Isa in the far north-west of Queensland. But Ms McCulloch was focused, ignoring the chaos and purely dedicated to creating colourful Aboriginal art that she sells to people all around Australia. "He's been making them for years, so when I started painting I was like: 'Dad, go cut some boomerangs and I'll paint them and sell them for you'," she said. She said she found Ms McCulloch's art on Instagram, fell in love with a piece, and bought it immediately. "We have the odd Indigenous person come in and buy it as a gift for a relative or a special occasion, but mostly it's to Indigenous-owned-and-run organisations," he said.
