Defending the 2024 Ravens is the ultimate catch-22

In Lamar Jackson’s seven years in the NFL, he’s been an enigma for opposing defenses and, sometimes, for his own team. The Ravens have finally struck the right balance between Roman’s offense and Monken’s more pass-centric attack, and they’re more explosive than they’ve ever been since Jackson became starter. Henry’s 0.15 expected points added per carry this season is leagues better than any other running back Jackson has played with previously. Of course, designed quarterback runs and option plays will always be part of the Ravens run game, but they’re now more selective of when they do run Jackson. Load up on the run and you’ll get the ball thrown around your head and good luck chasing Jackson with slow linebackers on the field.
