Mysuru temples ready for Mahashivaratri

The temples dedicated to Lord Shiva in Mysuru city are ready for the Mahashivarathri celebrations on Wednesday. The 11-kilo golden mask that is adorned on the Shivalinga at Sri Trineshwaraswamy Temple near Jayamarthanda Gate of the Mysore Palace premises was brought to the temple on Tuesday. All prominent Shiva temples in the city are The 108 Shiva Lingas at Gurukula on Ramanuja Road were cleaned on the eve of Mahashivratri by the temple authorities. Six assistant commissioners of police, 25 police inspectors, 57 police sub-inspectors, 110 ASIs, 738 head constables and police constables, and 76 women police, besides KSRP and CAR personnel will be on bandobast duty on Wednesday. In case of any untoward incident, the police have requested the temple authorities and the public to call the respective police stations or the control room on 112 or 0821-2418139, 2418339.
