Marjorie Taylor Greene: Election proves I'm not extreme — I'm 'mainstream America'
Raw StoryRep. Marjorie Taylor Greene proclaimed on the far-right Real America's Voice platform Thursday that the results of the election prove she's not an extremist — and that much of America thinks just like her. This comes amid speculation, and suggestions among Donald Trump allies, that Greene could be given a Cabinet role or some other high-ranking position in the incoming administration. Greene, who was first elected in 2020, faced heavy scrutiny for social media activity promoting the QAnon conspiracy theory, which holds that America is controlled by a secret group of demonic child traffickers, and even promoting the idea California wildfires were being set using a Jewish space laser. She had her committee assignments revoked for endorsing social media calls to kill Democratic officials, but those assignments were restored after Republicans won control of the House in 2022.
