America needs to support its farmers – here’s how we do it

This left many independent farmers incapable of competing with the large factory farms and big agricultural conglomerates. We can continue to create and support local farmers’ markets, creating spaces within our communities for our small farmers to sell their goods and compete with the large factory farms. It’s why I am proud to wear my new “Support Your Local Farmer” shirt today – a shirt I was happy to buy at Chaney’s Dairy Barn, because I am proud to shop locally and to support the farmers in my community.
