Moscow Issues Ominous Warning Over Biden Shift On Ukraine Long-Range Weapons
Huff PostLOADING ERROR LOADING KYIV, Ukraine — President Joe Biden’s decision to let Ukraine strike targets inside Russia with U.S.-supplied long-range missiles was met with ominous warnings from Moscow, a hint of menace from Kyiv and nods of approval from some Western allies. “This will mean that NATO countries — the United States and European countries — are at war with Russia.” Peskov claimed that Western countries supplying long-range weapons also provide targeting services to Kyiv. Last June, Putin warned that Russia could provide long-range weapons to others to strike Western targets in response to NATO allies allowing Ukraine to use their arms to attack Russian territory. “Biden, apparently, decided to end his presidential term and go down in history as ‘Bloody Joe’,” senior lawmaker Leonid Slutsky told Russian state news agency RIA Novosti. Senator Vladimir Dzhabarov, in comments to state news agency Tass, called Biden’s decision “a very big step toward the beginning of the third world war.” Russian newspapers offered similar predictions of doom.
