TU Eindhoven continues to cancel classes following cyberattack

NL Times

Classes at Eindhoven University of Technology were canceled for a second consecutive day on Tuesday following a cyberattack that struck the university’s network over the weekend. “We are working systematically with all available resources to secure the TU/e network and, with the utmost care, bring it back online step by step,” said Patrick Groothuis, the university’s vice chair, in a statement. The student exam period begins next week, though this week only includes make-up sessions and exam preparations. As a precautionary measure, the university shut down its network, preventing students, faculty, and staff from accessing email, Wi-Fi, the online learning platform Canvas, and Microsoft Teams.
