A researcher, writer, and theatre practitioner, Korgaonkar has been working with Lavani artists since 2002, leading to his award-winning book and acclaimed production Sangeet Bari. Through this performance at the NCPA, he continues his work of bringing traditional Sangeet Bari artists to the forefront, reclaiming Lavani’s deep-rooted cultural significance and showcasing its modern-day perception. Featuring award-winning artists such as Sangeet Natak Akademi recipient Shakuntalabai Nagarkar, Lavani Ke Rang blends powerful storytelling with electrifying music and dance, presenting folk traditions in their most authentic form.
