Man posing as IAS officer cheats woman on matrimonial site

The Hebbal police have registered a cheating case against an unknown person who, posing as an IAS officer, allegedly cheated a woman on a matrimonial site and made away with ₹3 lakh. The accused, who identified himself as Kishore Kumar claiming to be an IAS officer working under the State government, met the victim on a matrimonial site and befriended her. A few days later, the accused citing a medical emergency for his mother who is a cancer patient, sought financial assistance and took ₹3 lakh from her. The victim claimed in her complaint that the accused had cheated many women with a similar modus operandi on the matrimonial site.
