Viewers slam 'woke' political jabs at Emmys

Viewers have blasted the 2024 Emmys as 'boring' and 'predictable' - and fiercely slammed the ' woke ' political jabs made throughout the awards show. One person scathed that the three-hour long show 'just featured people getting awards' and nothing exciting like performances or comedic monologues, while another said it was 'ridiculous' to see the same people and shows win over and over again. 'If there was an Emmy award for the most boring show, tonight’s Emmys would win in a walk,' someone else joked. 'The Emmys and other pop culture spaces shouldn't be used to make political stances/bring awareness to social issues because people are consuming these shows to escape it and take a f**king mental break,' someone else agreed.
