New Year's Eve traffic advisory in Delhi: No exit from Rajiv Chowk after 9 pm, no vehicles allowed in CP

No vehicle shall be allowed to proceed towards Connaught Place beyond R/A Mandi House R/A Bengali Market North foot of Ranjit Singh Flyover Minto Road - DeenDayalUpadhayaMarg crossing Chelmsford Road near Munje Chowk R.K. Ashram Marg-ChitraguptaMarg Crossing R/A Gole Market R/A G.P.O., New Delhi Patel Chowk Kasturba Gandhi Road - Ferozshah Road Crossing Jai Singh Road-Bangla Sahib Lane R/A Windsor place. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, too, said that the exit gates of Rajiv Chowk metro station will be closed after 9 pm on New Year's Eve, in a bid to avoid overcrowding at the station. "To ease overcrowding on New Year's Eve, exit from Rajiv Chowk Metro station will not be allowed after 9 PM onwards. Besides, two fire tenders, two jail vans, 25 mounted police, 52 door frame metal detector systems, 12 quick response teams, two SWAT teams, three Parakram teams, 37 PCR vans, three patrolling motorcycles, 10 commandos, 100 home guards, 29 border pickets, 46 pickets for diversion of traffic, 32 anti-sabotage checking parties and two doctors will be deployed in New Delhi district for conducting medical examination of drivers under the influence of liquor and cause of accidents, according to police.
