Salem Collector directs officials to ensure steady drinking water supply to residents

District Collector R. Brindha Devi has directed officials to promptly repair damaged pipelines and ensure a steady supply of drinking water to residents. Accompanied by Corporation Commissioner-in-charge Balasubramaniam and other officials, Ms. Brindha Devi inspected the drinking water supply in the Ammapettai zone and held discussions on Wednesday. She stated that continuous inspections are being conducted across the Corporation, municipalities, town panchayats and panchayats to ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply during summer. She added that water is supplied to 8.5 lakh people across all 60 wards within the corporation limits, with 140 million litres per day distributed through two schemes.
