How Bhagwant Mann is showing he means business

The Aam Aadmi Party’s loss in the Delhi assembly elections has sent its Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann on an overdrive to salvage his popularity ratings in the border state amidst the frequent buzz of discontent among ruling party lawmakers and leaders. The AAP campaign had been run on Mann’s name with the tagline ‘Sansad wich vi Bhagwant Mann’, unlike other parts of the country where the party forefronts Kejriwal. Before the Delhi polls, Kejriwal had cut Mann to size after many Punjab MLAs of the party reached out to him over the chief minister’s working style. However, most political observers in Punjab and AAP insiders believe that with the party’s Delhi camp weakened by the poll rout, Mann’s influence cannot be reduced any further, at least not for now.
