Mahindra ties up with U.S. firm Anduril to develop autonomous maritime systems, counter UAS technology

MUMBAI Mahindra Group and Anduril Industries, an American technology company that specialises in autonomous systems, have entered into an alliance for co-developing and co-producing Autonomous Maritime Systems, advanced AI-enabled Counter Unmanned Aerial System technologies and Command and Control software. The collaboration seeks to strengthen regional security by deploying next-generation autonomous solutions and enhancing capabilities for maritime operations, Mahindra Group said in a statement. “The partnership focuses on developing modular Autonomous Underwater Vehicles that can be rapidly deployed for Security, Surveillance, Survey, and Reconnaissance missions, significantly enhancing underwater operational capabilities,” it said. Vinod Sahay, Group Executive Board Member, Mahindra Group said, “This collaboration combines our deep engineering expertise with Anduril’s innovative solutions to deliver cutting-edge capabilities that enhance security and address emerging threats.” Greg Kausner, SVP- Global Defence, Anduril Industries said, “Global security forces face a rapidly evolving set of threats from both emerging unmanned systems and legacy manned platforms, and Autonomy is key to maintaining a credible protection.
