Kalgoorlie teenager who allegedly severed 40-year-old man's arm set to face court

A 19-year-old South Kalgoorlie man who allegedly severed a 40-year-old man's arm during an assault in Western Australia's Goldfields is set to face court today. Kalgoorlie detectives have charged the teenager with aggravated grievous bodily harm, carrying or possessing an edged weapon and two counts of possessing a controlled weapon. He is due to face Kalgoorlie Magistrates Court on Friday from custody after bail was refused by police. The injured man self-presented at Kalgoorlie Health Campus with life-threatening injuries, including the severed arm, and was later flown to Royal Perth Hospital.
