Nani heartbroken as Suriya's Jai Bhim fails to win a National Award

Telugu actor Nani expressed his disappointment as Suriya's Jai Bhim failed to win any award at the 69th National Film Awards. Although Jai Bhim was nominated in the Best Film category, the award went to Manikandan's 2021 directorial, Kadaisi Vivasayi. One reason attributed to Jai Bhim not securing any award the National Awards is the clean sweep made by Soorarai Pottru at the National Awards 2022. Manikandan's 2021 directorial, Kadaisi Vivasayi, won the Best Tamil Film award, while the late Nallandi received a Special Mention for his performance in the film.
